As any rider of smaller stature will tell you, when it comes to bike bags, there’s a fine line between big enough to haul my adventure gear and too big for my small frame. Where our classic Zeitgeist Pack was often too wide and deep for smaller frames, our all-new Catalyst Pack strikes the perfect balance. With an unmistakable design nod to its predecessor, the Catalyst retains the functional features and the clean aesthetics that make the 2020 Zeitgeist a bestseller, but in a slimmed-down silhouette that works well on smaller platforms. The design inspiration for the Catalyst was answering to the specific needs of smaller riders, and the end result is a beautifully functional mid-capacity bag that can work for everyone!

How-To

Mounting the Catalyst pack is straightforward and simple. For handlebar mount, you’ll use the outermost/widest attachment points on the top/backside Coverlight strip. Using the included Voile Nano Straps, thread one strap through the Coverlight lash tab on one side of the stem making sure to loop around the internal batten and looping around the handlebar. Loosely lock into place with the plastic cleat on the strap. Repeat this step on the other side of the stem. Center your Catalyst Pack on your bars, and then loosely attach the bottom shock cord to your head tube. Now firmly cinch the top Nano Straps on either side of your stem locking the bag into place on bars. Lastly, adjust bottom shock cord to appropriate tightness. For saddle mount, simply repeat the above steps using the innermost/narrowest attachment points on the top/backside Coverlight strip.

You will notice we shipped your new Catalyst pack unassembled. That’s to reduce the carbon footprint of your order. Have no fear! We promise setting it up will be easier than an IKEA Ektorp. Check out this video tutorial for the Zeitgeist. Set up for your new Catalyst will be identical!
